Apple Orchard Fail

Today was my very first field trip to the apple cor-chard. I've been excited about this day for about eleventy years.

I ate my breakfast speedy fast and mom got us all packed up to go. Then she made us take a ridiculous "we're about to go on a field trip yay!" picture. We got in the car. We drove and drove and drove. The sky turned black and stormy, I panicked, and we turned back for home. Field trip fail.

So we came back home and played games and toys and skills. Lulu worked on her picture taking skills. Flashes are hard.

We had fun even though I felt disappointed. Thankfully after I spoke to mom about it eleventy thousand times, I felt better.

Lulu was okay about the situation. She doesn't know how awesome apple cor-chards are.

I guess playing at home is pretty fun too.

And hopefully we'll get to go to the cor-chard soon. I want to go on a hay ride and pick apples and get pumpkins and do all the super fun stuff that cor-chards have.

After School

Guess what, Peeps!?  I didn't tell you the best part of school...

Bella is in my class again!

We are both so excited to be back in school together!

And our sisters are happy to babble at each other while they're waiting for us.

After my first day Lu wanted to hear all about school. She also wanted to lick my shoe but Mom was all, "Lu! We don't lick shoes!"

And then Lulu gave me a present! A Hanky-lunchbox! Amazing! She saw it at Target and knew I needed it. She's my best baby ever.

Since I'm a creature of habit, I thought we better take pictures after our second day of school too.

In fact, I'd probably have insisted on pictures after school every day but I missed my entire second week of school. Stupid virus. Remind me later to tell you about my awesome rash.

Emma and Lu like pictures too. But they also like eating grass, so their opinions don't count for too much.

Upright

I know mostly you are used to seeing me sitting around.

But these days I don't sit much. Basically, sitting is for chumps.

I crawl, I roll, I climb, I scoot. And I pause to lick stuff.

I'm not saying I'm an expert yet.

But I've been working on my standing skills. Most of the time it looks like I'm working on my hitting-my-head-on-everything skills.

But once in a while I slow down a little and focus (look a puppy!) and then my standing isn't so bad.

And then I'm exhausted and need to recharge. For eight seconds. Before it's back to climbing things again.

School!

Another year, another preschool class.

I started my second year of preschool. No surprise, Hanky-guy and Hanky-backpack were along for the ride.  (Don't worry, Hanky-guy always waits in the car.)

I've grown a little in the past year.

I've been ready to go back to Creekside since the day I graduated from their toddler room. I love school.

I picked my own clothes for the first day. I picked how my fluff got styled (curly). And I picked my lunch (cheese sandwich [read: a piece of bread and some slices of cheese, never to be eaten together], berries and a pouch).

When Mom and Lu dropped me off, I got right to work playing.

Mom tried to linger. I was all, "Okay Mom, see you later alligator, after a while crocodile. I'll see you after school!" I'm pretty sure I heard a sniffle, but if I hadn't thrown her out, she might have stayed the whole day. Embarrassing.

I had an awesome first day of school. I love the art time and playground time and story time and getting to carry the milk for snack time (though I refuse to drink cold milk - gross). It's going to be a great year!

Tongue

By now you've probably heard way too much about a certain "musician's" recent VMA performance.

You know who I'm talking about. And no, I didn't watch. I'm basically only allowed to watch Baby Signing Time and test patterns. Lame.

But that doesn't mean I live under a rock.

And I've heard some of you whispering about me so I just wanted to clear the air. Set the record straight. Protect my reputation.

The tongue was my signature move WAY before she started using it. Basically, she saw how trendy and awesome I am and she stole my move.

My tongue and I are not impressed.

Though obviously we do it better.

And don't get me started on foam fingers.

Preview

Mom took two hundred-eleventy pictures at the State Fair. You get to see one. Lame.
