Christmas

Hey Peeps! Merry Christmas. In the interest of posting this before I turn eleven, I'm going to forego the commentary and let you just peek at the pictures. Assume the Christmas was awesome, I got billions of presents, and Juj and Max didn't do so badly either.

Twenty-Two

At this point I can't even make excuses for mom anymore. She's just a lazy blogger. She spends all day watching TV and eating bonbons and doesn't even let me work on my blogging skills. Lame. So I snuck on to tell you that I'm twenty-two now!

And no, I was not given a new phone for my twenty-two birthday. I'm stuck saying cheese to this old one that doesn't seem to take pictures no matter how hard I try. I need to work on my selfie skills!

So far twenty-two seems a lot like twenty-one. I'm still an excellent sleeper. I go to bed around 8 pm and wake up between 7:30 and 8 am. Daylight savings bumped my wake up a little earlier but mom says that's probably good because it's hard to get to school on time when people are sleeping the day away. I nap for 2-3 hours in the afternoon. And I wear my sleep sack backwards because I can't resist the urge to take it off otherwise.

I LOVE to play iPad and phone games. My favorite is calling Papa and Grandma and dad on them. And it's not just because I like to push the hang up button afterward. I love talking. I talk all day long. I'm stringing about three words together now and getting much easier to understand. Mom no longer has to translate everything I say! I have some skills I try and keep secret. I can count to ten but I try not to let people know unless they trick me into starting. My color skills are a little shaky though and I really only know the letter M. 

My curls are pretty amazing although they are pretty ruined by winter hats. After a bath I'm a curly peep. I'm wearing mostly 18-24 month clothes and some 2T. I love my Minnie shirt, my Elsa shirt and my Hawawawa (Halloween) shirts. Not sure my stats but I think I'm pretty big and awesome. Still waiting on the two year molars. Still using the potty a few times a day. 

These days I'm really into playing dollhouse. I also love playing with my babies. And I love all things Mickey. I enjoy reading books. But my true passion is dancing. I love to dance. Anywhere. Anytime. I also like singing and I know a billion songs. I break out into "Let it Go" and "Baby Beluga" all the time. I also like to sing "Elise is here today" and "Wheels on the Bus" a lot. I like to watch shows too. I like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Magic School Bus and Peppa Pig.

I'm really enjoying school now and I don't even need to have Herb and bink in class. At home I'm a great helper with Max. Sometimes I try and pick him up. By myself. Unsupervised. But otherwise I'm great with him and very sweet.

I am a little wild, a little crazy, but totally awesome. And kind of a lunatic. 

Twenty-One

Slightly belated but here I am and I'm twenty-one now! Home stretch to two!


I've been busy working on my chattering skills this month. I can pretty much say anything and I talk all the time. Mom is all, "Lu, you're still only 80ish% intelligible," and I'm all, "Thanks for judging me." I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm stringing two words together pretty consistently and I am pretty good at getting my point across. I am an awesome eater. I'll try anything. And I love sauce - ketchup, ranch, syrup etc. I want sauce for everything! My favorites right now are wuh-wuck (yogurt) and fishy crackers and any kind of fruit and anything someone else is eating. Milk is still poison. I love Reese's Pieces. That's probably why I'm growing so big and strong. I have 16 teeth. I'm about the same size I was last month. My feet are a 5.5. I'm still using the potty a few times a day and I'm even telling mom and dad when I need to go sometimes.


I'm still a professional sleeper. My nap is usually 1:30-3:30 pm. At night I go to bed about 8 pm and wake up around 7:30-7:45 am. I have Herb, buh-buck (Herbie blanket), and Mickey in my bed. I never fuss in bed - I'm happy with all my guys, and of course my gucks too. For a while mom was making me leave them in my crib. Thankfully she's totally caved. That was lame.


I started school this last month! I go one day a week. At first I wasn't so sure (possibly mom and dad had to pick me up after 1.5 hours) but now I love it (possibly related to being allowed to have guck and Herb there). I love story time and singing and dancing and the playground.


I'm also taking swimming lessons with dad and I have so much fun. When I'm not busy with that I love to play outside and take walks and run around the deck. I love playing with my baby dolls. I'm an expert doll wiper and changer. I love books and coloring and anything Juj is doing. And I LOVE watching Mickey and the Princess and the Frog.


But my biggest news - I got an upgrade. I'm a big sister now!! My brother Max moved in a month ago. I love him.


I love to hold him and find his ears and nose and eyes and help mom with him. I always make sure to hug him before bed. I test his bouncy seat for him. And I sleep through his screaming.


It's been an exciting month. I think I make a pretty great big sister!
