Day Five

Even though I only go to school two days a week, sometimes I get an extra-special bonus day.  Yesterday I was just minding my business working on my iPhone skills while Mom was taking the longest shower ever when I got a message - school wanted me to come and play!

I was pumped.  I threw on a twirly star ensemble, grabbed Hanky-backpack and we were off.

In the interest of full disclosure, because I'm nothing if I'm not a completely honest, non-exaggerating toddler-peep, we took school pictures after school.  Things were just too rushed for a morning photoshoot.

It was a super awesome day.  We sang songs, played toys, I stayed dry and used the potty, had lunch and even got an Oreo treat!  Turns out, I only liked the middle part and not the crunchy part, but I appreciate the chance to try something other than carrots and broccoli.  Ahem, Mom.

I love school.  And I do love my school pictures.  I'm not saying pictures are not my idea and insistence, they are.  But sometimes when Mom asks for eleventy more shots, my eyes can't help but roll.

Day Four

Another preschool day, another opportunity for pictures!

It gives me a nice chance to practice for my upcoming picture day.  I'm thinking my "cheese face" might be good.  Dad has suggested "crazy face."

Mom is all, "I think on picture day you should make a nice peep-smile."  I think that sounds lame.  Where's the element of surprise?

Plus, I'm still coping with the fact that Hanky-guy and Hanky-backpack aren't invited for my class picture.  I'm pretty sure this qualifies as discrimination but I haven't found a lawyer to take their case yet.

And in case you're wondering, I can totally get my Hanky-backpack on all by myself.

It's taken a little practice to perfect the flip...

... but I've got it down now...

...leaving me all ready for preschool day four!

Day Three

Before my first day of school mom was all, "Peep, we have to take a picture today!"

Why would I want a picture just one day when I can have one before every school day?!

Hanky-guy is pretty into pre-preschool pictures too.  He's a very photogenic guy.  But don't worry, he always waits in the car for me at school.

And Hanky-backpack also likes to be in the pictures with us.

So, here's preschool day three!

Make-up Skills

I recognize the importance of always looking my best.  That's why I work hard to fluff my mullet and pick the twirliest dresses to wear.  And it's also why I practice my make-up skills every morning.

I can't say mom has a particularly impressive make-up collection, but at least she shares with me.  I have my very own lipstick (chapstick) that I put on everyday.

Unfortunately, mom isn't quite as impressed with my make-up skills when I over-apply the concealer.

Peepcaso

I've always been pretty into art projects, but lately but I've been refining my artistic skills.

My alphabet skills are coming along.  So far, I can make an awesome "j" all by myself.

And I've been working hard to perfect my peep-drawing skills.  Mom traced me (I can't trace myself you know) and then I filled in the eyes, snoot, mouth and fluff all by myself.

I realize art is open to interpretation, so just in case you need a little help interpreting my work, here's a helpful guide.  Basically the Mona Peep-Lisa, right?

Twirly

Lately I'm pretty into twirly skirts.

Don't get me wrong - I don't care about Disney princesses or any of that dress up nonsense.  Cinderella shminderella.

But a twirly skirt (or dress) fashionably layered over a sweatsuit?  Awesome.

Add in some butterfly wings and I'm ready for the day!

Billy Ray Peep

I know this is going to come as a shock, Peeps, but I have to share something. You know, in the interest of honesty.  My hair is a little ridiculous.  Yes, I have some awesome ringlets when it's humid or I'm sweaty or freshly bathed.

But when the weather cools off and the air is crisp, well, I sort of morph into Billy Ray Peep.  (Especially when mom combs out my fluff-tangles.)

It's not pretty.  I know.  But since mom refuses to allow any scissors anywhere near my mullet, we have to go with the next best option.

Piglets.

And just like that I'm ready for my second day of preschool!
