So, where to begin. I am awesome. That about covers it. But in case you're looking for more detail, I'll start with the basics. I'm not sure on my stats yet but I go to the doctor next week. I can't wait for shots (eyeroll). I'm wearing size 5 diapers, and around 18 month sized clothes. I think my footies are a size 5, or at least that's what mom puts me in. They feel fine. I'm holding steady at eight teeth and my hair is curly but doesn't seem particularly inclined to grow any longer. I still use the potty a couple times a day. Oh, and I graduated to a big girl carseat!
I am taking one nap a day more and more often. I would totally take a morning nap but mom doesn't care for the way that leads to afternoon shenanigans. So unless I'm mega tired, I usually just nap for 2-3 hours in the afternoon. I'm still sleeping about 11.5-12 hours at night. I'm the best. Mom teases me because I flip and flop all night long. I tell her to be thankful I sleep and to stop being a creeper watching me on the monitor.
My communication skills are a constant topic of discussion, excuse the pun. If I feel so inclined I can say mama, dad, pup, Papa, duck, quack, car, calca, cookie (best word ever), guck (binky), kick, yeah, hi, bye bye and probably a few others. However, I prefer to say nothing intelligible and instead point and grunt at an increasingly loud volume until I get my way. Mom speaks grunt. Sometimes she tries to deny it but she does. And between my grunting and signing I can get my way. I see no reason to speak.
I'm still a great eater and an expert food mooch. I don't even mind begging from strangers. Cookies are my favorite and I better get one at the end of each meal. Peanut butter cups are an acceptable substitute. Sad news - no more boobie-flavored boobie for me. I don't mind though, milk in a bottle is good too.
In my spare time I love playing. I like to play baby doll, play-doh, any art Juj is doing, toilet paper roll skills, read books, and play dress-up. I go to swimming lessons and I love them. I can go up and down the stairs "safely" though mom and dad still prefer to supervise me. Lame. I love playing outside and going for walks.
My listening skills are pretty good. I'll clean up toys (when asked) and get things for people (when asked) and cooperate when it's time to put on coat or shoes and stop at the end of the driveway (when asked). I'm also less inclined to bolt in public. I've sowed my wild oats. I'm okay with listening to mom when she suggests I not disappear in Target.
Except my big news. It's big. I'm going to be a big sister! I'm not clear yet on how this will benefit me but I'm told it's exciting.
