Mobile

I know you guys are familiar with my sister Juj. She's pretty awesome. She has billions of toys and games and books. Her sharing skills are pretty impressive, but sometimes her stuff is just out of reach.

So I decided the only logical thing to do would be to learn mobility-skills.

I started out with rolling skills. Rolling has worked out pretty well. I can get across a room in seconds. Unfortunately, my aiming skills aren't perfect and sometimes I smash into things. Like walls.

So then I decided moving in a linear fashion might be safer so I learned to back-scoot. I just push myself backwards and away I go. It works, but again, aiming isn't so great when I can't see where I'm going.

So, I came to the conclusion that I needed to up my skill level. I mean, I'm not a baby anymore, so this rolling and back-scooting is a bit immature.

Naturally, I taught myself to crawl.

Okay, I don't exactly crawl in the most graceful fashion. I'd say it's more of an army crawl with the occasional knee-kick-off.

But I move forward so my aiming is excellent and I can get to Juj's toys quickly and efficiently. In theory I could get to my toys too but they're pretty lame compared to Juj's stuff, so I stick with her stuff.

I still need to work on my execution - like I said I'm not the most graceful peeplet. Yet.

But I'm fast. And mom doesn't own any gates.

Novel

My reading skills are improving. I'm practically ready for novels.

Carnival

The other day mom was all, "Do you want to go to a carnival that has games and prizes and face-painting?" and I was all, "Obvious!"

When we got there it was pretty amazing because it wasn't crowded at all. We started with exotic petting zoo. I can't say that goats are so exotic but there was a skunk and some other pretty neat guys too.

I really liked the goaty-guys and they really liked me. It's possible because I bought their love for a quarter. They were starving I guess.

After the animals we walked all around. I was nearly on the news!

Loulou and I got to meet Sparky the Fire Dog. He was pretty friendly.  Lou was skeptical.

I worked on my golfing skills.  A little shaky to start but I got pretty awesome at the end and even made a basket. Or whatever.

We got to meet the Crime Dog too. He was medium creepy. I can see a dog in fire gear but a trench coat?

There were lots of other fun things to do. I tried out being a clown-peep. I played games and got lots of fun prizes.

I did some street-dancing skills.

And then I got to go in this awesome money windy thing. I collected billions of dollars and then traded them for tattoos. Win. The whole thing was awesome, except the face painting situation. Turns out the painter-lady thought she was Picasso and took so long I couldn't handle the wait. Lame. Good thing I'm such a flexible Peep (that can be easily distracted with fun prizes elsewhere).

Spazz

I'm not going to say for sure...

... but there's a pretty good chance...

... that I didn't start my nap anywhere close to this spot.

What can I say? Nap time is a great chance to practice rolling and crawling and scooting and spazzing.

That's a lot of skills for a confined space.

Good thing I'm such a nimble squirt.

Models

You may not believe this...

... but it actually takes talent to perfectly coordinate smiling-skills...

... just to be sure no two smiles occur at the same time.

But sometimes there's a miscue and we're jointly adorable.

It takes extra talent...

... to synchronize looking-skills...

... to avoid ever looking at the camera at the same time.

But every once in a while we slip up.

We can't be perfect all of the time, but we usually do pretty well avoiding the camera and making mom crazy.

We're quite a team.

Half Birthday

Guess what Peeps - I'm six now!

I've been growing so much mom was all, "Let's bring you in and check your stats!" and I was all, "Do you really need something more exact than petitely chubby?"

So if you're all about official stats, I'm 16 pounds 13 ounces (69th percentile) and 24.5 inches (12th percentile). So basically just what I said, short and chubby. Mom was all, "Hmm that's pretty short, should she join the circus now?" and my doctor was all, "Her mom is pretty short." Oh snap.

Once we got past judging my size I got a pretty good review. Good growing skills, good sleeping skills (despite what my mom might say) and advanced mobility skills. Basically I'm awesome. Well, something about my oatmeal intolerance and a special food plan but whatever, a little vomit never hurt anyone.

What I heard was that I'm awesome. I was all, "Look at me I rule," and then it happened. I blinked and BAM! Stabbed.

Not cool. So as not to say something I might regret, I opted to pass out instead. Shots are lame.

But don't worry peeps, I rallied. Mom decided not to withhold the Tylenol this time (phew) so I was up and rolling in no time. Because I'm awesome.

Escape

It's not that I've set out to run away.

I'm just keeping my options open...

... and seizing opportunities.

Bookwormlet

It's no surprise that I love books. They're my favorite. I read all day long. I've even been working on my sounding-out-words skills. Pretty soon I'll be reading novels.

But for now I'm happy to read peep-books.

As it turns out, my sister loves books too.  She loves when I read to her.

Unfortunately, sometimes she gets a little ridiculous and insists on tasting the books. I'm always all, "Lou, it's not boobie flavored!" and she's all, "I just have to check!"

She usually believes me. And then she works on her reading skills and her colored-wheel-turning skills.

She's getting pretty good at book-skills.

But I can't look away for a second. One blink and she's back to book-munching.
