Bibs

By now you know I love to eat.  I'll taste anything, even the floor.
(But it's not so delicious to lick the floor, in case you were wondering.  And it tends not to be boobie or yogurt-melt flavored.)

As much as I love eating, there are some things about mealtime that aren't so great.

And by some things, I mean my bib.  It's stupid.  The good news is that I've figured out how to pull it off.  The bad news is that mom does not count this as a notable skill.

In fact, it gets worse.  Mom told me tonight I have to wear a bib and if she has to, she'll get one with sleeves and buckles and shackles on it.

I told her what I thought of that idea.

Employed

I've been busy this week!  Mom is always worrying about how much things cost, my school, my swimming lessons, my baby foods.  So I told mom not to worry and I got a part-time job!

Since I know the most about baby stuff, it seemed like babysitting would be the best job for me.  And it worked out great - my friends Joey and Eliza needed a babysitter!  They're pretty much my first friends - last year mom watched them and I kicked them from inside mom's belly, and this year we get to all play together!  Plus, I'm super lucky because Eliza shares all her clothes with me and she has great taste.

The twins are pretty easy to watch.  Mostly we like to play toys.

And I keep an eye on their big brother Ringo too.  He's usually snoozing on the couch.

I help teach Eliza how to share by asking nicely to see her stuff.  I almost never grab her bink or take toys from her.

Joey and I love to play with his Mickey wand.  It's awesome.

I even watch the twins' big sister, Linnea, sometimes.  She's the nicest girl!  We play princess wands together and she lets me taste any wand I want!

Once in a while Linnea just wants to squish me and I let her.

Of course, sometimes the other babies need to rest.  When they're napping, I test all their toys and books to make sure they are still fun and delicious tasting.  I don't even charge extra for this service.  That's probably why I'm the best babysitter around.

Thirty-nine and Two

Today is a big day, Peeps.  I am nine months old!
But there's something else - today I am 39 weeks and 2 days old.  That's exactly the same amount of time I was in my mama's belly!  To celebrate, I made a little video of my time in Camp Uterus.

My blog is filled with pictures of my second 39 weeks and 2 days, and now you've seen my first 39 weeks and 2 days!

Walking Weather

Since we had a heat wave yesterday (it was in the twenties), I told mom we better take Sister Lab for a walk.  So she bundled me up and off we went.

Mom only let my eyes and nose peek out but it was still fun to ride in my stroller, even if mom spent half the walk whining about how worthless my stroller wheels are in the snow.

Reach

It doesn't really matter what I'm doing...

... if mom takes the camera out...

... all I want to do is touch it.

Pups

Mom asked me today if I wanted to cheer for cheese or bears.
I decided to pick puppies and dressed accordingly.

Bottomless Pit

At lunchtime mom was eating pizza and I was all, "Mom, I want to eat pizza too!"
And mom was all, "Juj, babies don't eat pizza."

So I was all, "Please just let me taste it, Mom!"
And mom was all, "Okay Juj, you can have a little pizza."
It was so delicious I ate eleventy pieces!

This is me eating pizza.  As a bonus, you can also hear the awesome new sound I make all day long.  Mom and dad think it sounds like I'm barking.  I think it goes nicely with my growl and my fake cough.

As if pizza weren't awesome enough, mom gave me a Baby Mum Mum cracker after dinner!
It was so yummy - not like the dry, hard teething biscuit I tried once.  I can actually take bites of the Mum Mum!

Mom suggested I not put the entire thing in my mouth at once but I was just fine.  I can eat anything.  I love food.  If mom would have just let me taste her chocolate cookie it would have been the best day ever!

Knees

Mom and dad get all ridiculous and excited when they see me like this.

But I don't get it - I rock and I rock and nothing happens.  What is all the cheering about?
They might be nuts.

Side Sleep

When I was a baby I use to sleep on my back.  Now that I'm pretty much all grown up I sleep just like my mom does, on my left side.

But even when I sleep on my side, I still wake up on my belly...

... and sometimes I turn myself completely around.  I'm funny.

Monkey Kisses

I have some mega awesome friends and they let me wear their clothes and play with their toys when they get too big.  They gave me this awesome new toy and I love it.  I can scamper around it but I get shy when mom turns on the camera and I stop scampering.

But not too shy to kiss the monkey on camera.

T-Shirt

I asked mom and dad to bring me some presents from Mexico.  I was hoping for something awesome like puffs or toys or giraffes.
They brought me a t-shirt.

It's a pretty cool t-shirt and all.  It has some frogs.

And the big frog's mouth opens up!

But I think babies in Mexico are mega skinny.  Either that or mom forgot just how chubby I am because the shirt is soooo tight on my belly I don't think I'll be able to wear it again.
Maybe Sister Lab can wear it instead.

Bath Skills

There are so many things no one ever told me!  Here's another one - I don't have to sit still in the tub!  All this time I thought I was suppose to lay back and politely wait for mom or dad to scrub me.

Last night I figured out all sorts of tricks I can do in the tub!  I can scoot around and sit in funny places.

I can practice my standing skills.

And I can practice my climbing skills.
Bath time is so much more fun now!

Mexico

Hey Peeps, guess what - it's been a super exciting week for me!  I sent mom and dad away to Mexico so they could help Auntie Sarah and Uncle (little) Mike get married and I stayed home and took care of Sister Lab!  Grandma and Grandpa K. were lonely so I let them come over and hang out with me too.

I'm super excited that Uncle Mike and Auntie Sarah got married because now I can have eleventy new cousins!  I hope the cousins come soon!

I was pretty busy while I was home taking care of Sister Lab.  I practiced my standing skills in my crib.  (I got a little scratch on my cheek but don't worry, I'm totally fine.)

I practiced climbing all over Grandpa K. while Sister Lab practiced snooting him.

I knew mom and dad would worry about us so I sent them lots of texts to let them know I was just fine and that I was remembering to let Sister Lab outside to go potty.

I ate all my food and even decided that I'm old enough for lunch so now I eat three meals a day!  Mom wasn't able to leave her boobies for me but she left billions of milk so I drank lots of bottles.

I played with my new toy a lot.  It's so fun.  I can stand up and creep around it and I don't even need any help.  It plays music and doesn't even have an off button!  I had so much fun taking care of Sister Lab and keeping Grandma and Grandpa K. company I hardly even noticed mom and dad were gone.

When mom and dad came home I asked them about their trip.  Dad said it was so cold at the pool he had to cover up with towels!

But mom found just enough sun the last day to stay toasty warm.  She even brought some sun home - now her face is bright red!

Mom and dad said they had a pretty good trip but they missed me and Sister Lab a lot.  I'm not surprised.  We're pretty awesome.

Months

Even though I'm a pretty chubby girl, I'm not super tall.  It's not my fault.
Mom and dad insist that I'm growing and mom takes lots of pictures to prove it.  Remember when I showed you how big I've gotten?

Well, when I turned seven I learned something.

If mom is holding the camera, she can't stop me from holding her sign or from hiding behind it.  So if you're wondering why I'm not in a diaper like the rest of my monthly pictures, it has something to do with my so-called "lack of cooperation with mom's vision."

I'll let you guess how well the eight pictures went.
