More Friends

My friends the babies still come over and play with me.  They're getting pretty big and funny.  They're extra funny when the spit and chatter.  I like to read them stories, show them my skills, pat them when they need a burp, and steal their binks when mom isn't looking.

Friends

Remember my friends Lizie and Joey?

This is what we looked like when were pretty young and moderately agreeable about cameras and posing.

This is what we looked like when we were just a tad older and a tad more suspicious of all things camera.

And this is us now!  We're so grown up!!  Lizie and Joey can chatter, eat almost whole apples and climb playground equipment.  But smiling for posed shots?  We're not so into that.

Sunny Day

Today our lousy summer weather was upgraded to mediocre so I told mom we better take advantage and play outside.

Mom will pretty much do anything I ask.  She can't say no to my cute.

I love playing outside - it's super fun to find sticks and rocks and tree-fluff.

And I only sometimes taste the driveway dirt.

Mostly I'm just happy to run up and down the driveway...

... and I never miss the chance to yell hi to passing cars and puppies and kids.

I like to take a break and hug mom.  It helps her feel better when I spend the rest of the day talking about daddy.

After we played for a while mom got an idea, and that never ends well.  She was all, "Hey Juj, how about we get a picture of you and Sister Lab?"  And I was all, "Hey mom, how about you sit in the itchy grass?"  Sister Lab and I were not impressed.

But Lab said the sooner we look at the camera, the sooner mom's shenanigans would end.  So we gave in.  Sort of.

Fourteen Months

Well Peeps, I'm even more grown up now - I'm fourteen today!  Mom said I better do another big update so we can remember my toddler-peep years.

It's probably a good idea - I'm growing fast.  Can you believe this was me one year ago?  I was just a little squishy baby-peep.

So let's see.  I really love playing toys and my favorites are my letters.  Sometimes mom teases me because I think every letter is an E or an I.  I'm just learning, you know.  And my other chatters are coming along well - I say hi, ba-bye, baby, daddy, puppy, uh-oh, car, beeeee (berries), yickum (no English translation), yeah, and I have an awesome point-and-grunt.  I know where my fluff, belly, snout and baby-pits are.

I love playing outside.  I love to go for walks in my red car (I talk about my car a LOT) and I love playing with my scooter and baby stroller and cozy coupe.  Sometimes if I'm super lucky I find an abandoned Hank-scooter in the park.

I have some stacking blocks that are super fun and I like to play with them every day, especially before bed.  Speaking of, I'm still a great sleeper.  I go to bed around 8 pm and sleep about 11-12 hours.  I rarely squawk in the middle of the night.  I take pretty great naps too.  Somedays I take two naps, 11 am - 1 pm and 4 - 5 pm, and sometimes I just take one three hour nap.  I love to snorgle Hank in my bed.

Reading is still one of my favorite things.  This is my very best book - it's all about bunnies and kittens and moons.  I like to read it every morning when I wake up and I point to all the kittens.  My pointing skills are pretty amazing.

I'm a great eater.  I love chicken, turkey, cheese, pasta, yogurt, berries, broccoli, peanut butter and jelly, pancakes, and anything mom and dad have on their plates.  I still love boobie-flavored boobie but I only get that kind of milk in the morning.  Don't worry though, I get delicious bottles the rest of the day!

Well, I think that covers everything!  I'm a super happy toddler-peep.
And no, I don't have any teeth yet.  But don't worry, Peeps, they're almost here!

Hugs

I've been pretty into hugging mom lately.

I mean, I still like to play toys and games and practice skills.  But I like to take a break every twenty-seven seconds to give mom a quick snorgle.

I'm a pretty sweet girl.  Heck, I don't even hold a grudge after she abandoned me for a whole weekend and then decided I only need boobie-flavored boobie once a day.

But I figure I better stay close or she might try to sneak away again.

Fancy

I'm usually very busy playing toys and games and practicing skills.  Such activities don't leave room for dressing up and looking like a lady.

But every once in a while I toss out the sweats, set aside the jammies and pull out my fanciest stuff.

My friend Tessy sent me this dress.  She was all, "Juj, this is a great dress for looking super fancy and getting all the grown-ups to drool over you," and I was all, "Thanks Tessy, I can't wait until it fits!"  (She's a tall friend-Peep, so she wore this dress when she was about twenty-seven minutes old.)

I loved it!

And of course I pulled out my fancy tights from friend Emma and my fancy shoes from friend Lizie.

Don't worry, my diaper wasn't a hand-me-down.  Mom totally lets me get brand new diapers.

Mom said it's hard to look sophisticated when you've got Hank and bink in tow...

... but I said who needs sophistication when you've got all your best guys?

Shirt

Well, this is sort of embarrassing.

My friend Susie got me this awesome Hank shirt for my birthday and I'm about two months late thanking her.

In my defense, I was all ready to to model it as soon as I got it but mom was all, "Juj, let me wash it first."  Mom washes things about as fast as she cleans the house.  Even ask dad.

Thankfully I can finally wear my Hank shirt and I can finally properly thank Susie.  It's especially fun to wear my shirt while I snorgle and giggle with my Hank pillow.

Thanks for the Hank shirt, Susie!  I love it!

Pictures

As promised, here are eleventy billion pictures of me playing outside.  I'm a very busy toddler-Peep outside, playing stroller, car, sticks, ball and plastic baggy.
