Drool-Proof

Hi Peeps.
I know.  You're disappointed in my blogging skills.  You're all, "Stu, Juj was a billion times better at blogging."  Guess what - Juj also took eight months to figure out rolling.  She had nothing better to do.

I've been busy.  I have rolling to do.  Sitting to do.  Drooling to do.  Shrieking to do.

And growing to do.  Can you stand it?  I'm pretty much the best grower-peep ever.  Mom is all, "That's because you have lots of bonus night milks," and I'm all, "Is that really different than the cereal you inhale at 11 pm?"
Anyway.
I have things to tell you about so I'll try and take a break from my skill-acquisition to get writing.  I hope the keyboard is drool-proof.

Leggy

This may be a surprise to you, Peeps, but I'm basically a giant.

Okay, giant could be a *tiny* exaggeration, but I'm pretty big.  And no matter what you think, I'm bigger than my sister was at my age.

The chub, well, that's obvious.

But I'm leggy too.  Yep, practically ready for the runway.

See my sis?  She is my same age in this picture.  See how baggy the pants are on her?  So uncool. And even though I weigh more, she had a big chubby milk-gut.  She just didn't know how to fashionably carry her weight.  And don't get me started on how teeny tiny those slippers are.

What can I say, I'm destined to be a giant.  Probably 5'3''.

Monitor

I'll be honest.  Mom's stinginess was starting to get in the way of my needs.  For example, I need to sleep with Herbie on my face.

So the other day I was all, "Mom, it's time to pull the coins out from under your mattress and buy a video monitor," and mom was all, "Okay Stu, you're right, I'm sorry I've waited so long to let you be truly happy."

Life is so much better now.  Mom has her monitor and can obsessively watch me sleep and I'm allowed to have Herbie on my face.  As long as I continue to breathe in a visually obvious manner.

Love

Outtake

I know you probably think Lisie and I are professional models.  We're pretty much expects at looking adorable in pictures.  I know this might be intimidating.  Turns out, once in a while we take a picture or two that's just a little less cute and a little more ridiculous.

We just figure sometimes it's more exciting to not smile at the same time, not look at the camera, and/or not cooperate at all.  Just to spice things up.

After a year and a half I think my training is finally complete.  I'm ready for my first 5k.
Want to pledge me?  I thought so.  Click here!

Herbie-Smother

Even though mom sometimes (daily) judges my sleeping skills, I'm actually a pretty great peeplet.  I take nice long naps for her (you're welcome), I settle myself to sleep without needing to be rocked or bounced or driven in a car (you're welcome), and I enjoy my rest (you're welcome).

Although most of my sleeping skills are on account of I'm awesome...

... I do also have my best friend Herbie-guy to thank.  He helps me fall asleep.  And I love him.  Nothing settles me faster than a full belly, a fresh b-guck, and Herbie on my face.

* No Stu-Peeps were left unattended in the smothered-by-Herbie position.

Spring?

I learned something startling last week, Peeps.

Turns out, I don't have to wear eleventy layers of clothes everyday. I'm not destined to be in an undershirt and a sweatshirt and fifty hats forever.  Win!

Of course, it doesn't appear I'll be shaking this clown hat any time soon.

It's pretty great being a grown up baby-peep.  I like getting fresh air and sunning my toes and riding with my sister.

Sometimes Juj wants to work on her bicycle skills and then mom duct tapes me to her belly.

I suppose there are worse ways to be carted around.  At least there's a nice carrier I can chew on during the walk.

We are pretty cute in our Siamese-twin costume.

Unfortunately, with my delicate constitution, sometimes spring isn't warm enough for me and I still need some bundling, especially on long walks to pick up Juj from school.

It's still nice to walk even if I need a blanket.  But I wouldn't mind getting a chance to air out my toes again soon.

Day Fifty-Two

Day Fifty -Two and I was feeling a bit goofy for pictures.

It's a good thing I'm so charming or mom might have been a tad fed up with my hand-covering-face skills.
