Babies

I love playing dolls. So does Juj. You know what we don't love? The paparazzi interrupting our play time.

Hawaii

Auntie Maddie used to be my nanny and then she abandoned me and Lu to play with monkeys in Hawaii. Lame. We're a little bitter.

Luckily our affections can be easily bought, especially with beautiful dresses!

It may be awful and freezing outside but it's never too cold to wear a beautiful Hawaiian dress.

Lu was a little less enthusiastic about her dress but she'll come around. She just needs to learn to appreciate fashion like me.

I think our Hawaii dresses are pretty fancy and I am so glad Maddie sent them to us. They'll probably be even cuter when we don't have to wear fleece pants underneath.

Books

It's not very often that Lu will sit for a picture with me. She's busy. Spirited. A trail of terror. Mom and dad's words, not mine. But, I know just how to get her to sit - books. She loves books just like me.

Baby Cookie

Mom gave me a new kind of baby cookie. Thanks mom, I love strawberry flavored paper. Here's what I think of my new cookie.

Accessories

I'm a pretty stylish toddler-peep.

Juj has taught me to appreciate the way the right accessory can make an outfit.

Construction goggles are one of my favorites.

Sometimes I like a mask.

Other times sunglasses complete my look.

I never forget about the bigger accessory options like bags and purses. I love a nice handbag.

I do like wearing a watch too. It's no Rolex but I think it looks pretty nice.

But I think my favorite has to be a nice headband. I love wearing headbands.

Rides

The other day dad was all, "Does anyone want to come with me to the mall? I need new clothes," and I was all, "MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Not that I had ulterior motives or anything. I totally helped dad pick some new shirts and ties and stuff.

And then I suggested we check out the rides. Just a quick peek. Maybe a ride, if he insisted.

I looooooove rides.

Cousin!

Cousin Anna came over to play yesterday. It was so fun!

I was super excited to see her when she woke up from her nap. Thank goodness she only slept thirty-five minutes. I couldn't have waited any longer to play.

I can't say our picture-posing skills accurately reflected how happy we were to see each other.

We had some fun times catching up...

... and then it was time to play dress up!

I'm not sure Anna fully appreciated how to complete her ensemble. She was all, "I'd rather wear a flowery headband. Helmets flatten my fluff."

I had so much fun playing with Anna. I can't wait for her to come back. I hope she comes back. I hope she wasn't traumatized but Lu, who insisted on trying to help Anna with her bink. It was a kind gesture but binks don't go in eyes.

Adoption

Today I was all, "Mom, I found some friends to adopt!" Surprisingly, she was totally supportive. Next time, I'll have try bringing home something live.

Flashback

Sometimes when I'm feeling nostalgic about my childhood I like to look back at old pictures.

This is me and mom just today. No, she didn't feel compelled to put on make up today. Lazy.

And here we are together one year ago.

I'm pretty grown up and mature now, even if I remain confined to a baby seat.

I was just a little squirt last year. A loud little squirt.

English

I know, Peeps.

Lulu has been a blog-hog lately. She's all, "Ooooh, I'm so cute because I flail and mom pretends like it means something!" Lame.

I'm pretty cute too.

Plus, I speak actual English. Top that, Lulu-flaily-pants!

Boxed

Juj and I like to play lots of games, like "Vicious Monster" (I play the title role), and spin-til-you-can't-stand, and box.

Box is especially fun because the box can be a boat or a train or a billion other things.

So the other day Juj and I were minding our business playing box-skills and mom was all, "Let me take a picture of you guys!"

And I was all, "How's this mom, how about I close my eyes like this?" Haha, chump.

But Juj is older and a hair wiser, and she was all, "The sooner we look adorable, the sooner mom will leave us alone." I wasn't feeling entirely compliant, but I tried. Sort of.

And then I was all, "Now back off woman, I have box-skills to master."

Presents

What's a birthday without presents!?

Mom and dad and Juj got me some pretty awesome stuff. I got a Herbie Hippo bowl!

I got a Herbie Hippo lunch bag too!

And then I got an awesome giant present.

It's a gumball machine! Juj was all, "Hey! That looks like my old gumball machine that's been stored in the basement for the last year or so," and I was all, "Whatever, it's mine now!"

I got one last present. It was pretty heavy but I'm super strong.

A soft fluffy bear! Even better, my bear came with passes to go to the zoo. I love the zoo! It was a great birthday and I love all my presents.

Milk

Turns out I have lots to share about my birthday. Most of it is awesome, like presents and pumpkin muffins and presents and cake and presents and getting Herbie blanket in my crib.

Unfortunately, there are some not so awesome things about turning one.

For example, I've been enjoying my milk for a year now. It's delicious and boobie-flavored. So when mom was all, "Hey Lu, do you want some milkies in your cup?" I was all, "Obvious!"

I love my cup. So I took a big swig.

Super lame! Whatever poison she put in my cup, it was definitely not boobie-flavored milk.

I was not impressed.
