Chippies!

I've been pretty into sitting on the potty lately.  I've even been marginally successful moving beyond just sitting - the last couple days I've told mom when I need to go and then I've really gone!  And then I've cheered for myself like I just ran a peep-marathon.

I can't say for sure what sparked my new found potty-interest but the chocolate chippie rewards and the Mickey Clubhouse viewing while I sit certainly help the cause.  A lot.
*Please note this picture is a re-enactment following a successful pee in the potty.  I don't really use the potty without the bowl.

Kid-Peep

Today my friends Lizie and Joey invited me over to play.  I was sooooo excited - they have a mega fun house.  But do you know what else they have that's so much fun?!?!

A big sister!  Even though I love Lizie and Joey, I decided to work on my mature-sophisticated-peep skills and spend my time playing with Linnea.  She helped me style my fluff.

She showed me which jewelry best complimented my outfit.  Thank goodness I was wearing her hand-me-down clothes today - that way she could tell I'm a super stylish peep!

She even let me sit on her bed while we practiced the Cs of diamonds and talked about where to get the best manicure in town.  I didn't have a lot to add to the conversation - mom always does my nails.  Lame.

At snack time we wore matching shades.  That's what all the cool kid-peeps do.  And she didn't even judge me for using a booster seat at the table.

After snack we worked on our jumping skills and block-building skills.

But don't worry, Lizie and Joey didn't feel too left out - we totally ate lunch with them.

I had the best time playing with Linnea and I can't wait until she gets her license so she can drive us to the mall.  But I love Lizie and Joey too.  Even if they are just toddler-peeps.

Twenty-Two

Well Peeps, I'm twenty-two.  Hard to believe.  It seems like just yesterday I was being forcibly yanked from mom's belly.  And now I'm practically a tween.  So, here's my update!

I still love Hanky-guy.  I always will.  We're best friends.  But these days he's the only best friend you'll see me with outside my crib.  B-guck (binky) is only for crib (and mom and dad's bed in the morning) and I'm okay with that.  I also have Hanky-blanket, pink blanket and Elmo-guy in my crib.  It's a pretty cozy party for resting.  I usually sleep 7:30 or 7:45 pm until about 7:00 or 7:30 am.  My naps have been a little better.  I was sleeping about 45 minutes but I got tired of hearing mom talk about how lame that was so now they're back to more like 1.5 hours.

When I'm not sleeping I'm usually snacking.  I love snacks, especially cracker-bunnies, pouches, and berries.  I always eat oatmeal with banana and applesauce for breakfast and sometimes toast too.  For lunch and dinner I like to have turkey, chicken, cheese, maca, pasta, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, berries, ravioli, broccoli, carrots and any other bread product.  I also discovered a love for quesadillas, hot dogs, and anything dad is eating.

I have ten teeth (four top front, two top molars, three bottom front, one bottom molar) and one more that's popping as I type this.  My fluff is getting pretty long and curly.  I'm not sure about official stats but I'm somewhere between 23.5 and 24 pounds.  And I'm short.  Details aren't important there.

I love playing toys.  My favorite toys are my doll house, Legos, my kitchen and my guys - Lionking, Baby, and Mickeymouseclubhouse.  I love playing with mom and dad but I'm a pretty content toddler-peep so I'll play by myself too.  Oh an d laundry baskets.  I love filling laundry baskets with blankets and then sitting in them to read books.

I still mega love books.  I get to pick library books all the time and those are usually my favorite.  I especially love books with animals, Critter, Clifford and Fancy Nancy.  I would still love Ruby but she's been missing for a few days.  I can't remember the super secret spot where I last had her.  Grandma, did I leave her at your house???

Even though I'm not supposed to watch TV, sometimes I do.  Like everyday.  Starting the minute I wake up.  I like to snorgle with mom and dad and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Later in the day I love to watch my letters video or my school video.  Sometimes people judge TV-watching-toddler-peeps, but I've been learning mega so mom and dad say I can still watch.

My learning skills have really blossomed.  I know all of my letters and most of their sounds too.  I can even say the ABCs with about 70% accuracy and 157% cuteness.  I can count to ten and I'm learning what the numbers mean - I can count fingers, legs and pieces of bread I've shredded at lunch.  I know the colors pretty well (turns out everything is not blue, shocking) and a bunch of shapes (triangle, star, heart, circle, square).  I know four days of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday) though I'm making an effort to more often include Sunday.  And most of these skills came from my awesome videos!  (Dear Leapfrog, if you need a spokes-peep, call me.  Love, Juj)

I still go to school, library-school and gym class.  They're all so fun.  And I love to play with friends too!  I also love coloring and working on my finger-painting skills.  Stickers are pretty awesome and I love the bank and grocery store because they always have stickers for me.

I'm a super chatty toddler-peep.  I pretty much talk constantly, from morning til night, and sometimes while I'm supposed to be napping.  I speak in sentences, usually around 4-5 words but some as long as 7-8 if I have an important point to make.  If I get too animated about a subject, sometimes I slip into emphatic gibberish, but usually I'm pretty easy to understand.  Mom and dad think my chatters are pretty funny.  I also like to sing songs (Twinkle Twinkle, ABCs, I Love You, Tick Tock and Baby Shark are some of my favorites).

Well, I think that sums up what it's like to be twenty-two!  It's basically a party every single day.

Pretty

Usually I love to comb Hanky-guy's fluff and accessorize Ducky-guy after bath.  But tonight I  wanted to style myself.  I spotted my headband and decided I just had to try it on.  I got it on all by myself and then exclaimed, "Wow!  I look pretty!"  I'm pretty sure Hank and Duck agreed.

Mom thinks I had another day of stellar chatters, and combined with my awesome curls, I'm pretty sure she'd buy me a 'copter if I asked.  But since I'm not sure if I'd really like a 'copter ride or if it might be terrifying, I think I'll hold off getting one just yet.

Just in case I ever do want a 'copter, I'm going to appease mom just this once and list my top chatters from today because she's all, "Someday you're going to want to remember these, Juj!"

1.  "I love you, mommy."
2.  "Look mom, I found Hanky-guy!"
3.  "Where are you critter-goes-dentist?"  (I highly recommend this book!)
4.  "Where other b-gucks go?  I not sure, Elmo.  I not sure, Hanky."
5.  "I'm speedy, go go go!  Watch out people!"  (I'm an awesome shopping cart driver.)
6.  "I do some 'puter skills?"

When I wasn't uttering pieces of pure brilliance, I was modeling my awesome curls.

It's taken a while, but I finally have some pretty great curls and they get even more curly and fun when my steamer is on during naptime.

I had a really great day (aside from that one time out, lame).  I can't wait to run my mouth again tomorrow!

Happier

Great news, Peeps!  I'm feeling a lot better.  It probably helped that I slept over twelve hours last night and then took a three hour nap.  I just hope mom doesn't think I'm going to do that with any regularity.

Since I was feeling better I went with mom to the store.  I always like to check out the toys in case there's anything awesome that I need.  And since I'm a pretty cooperative toddler-peep, mom lets me walk in the store.  Win.

After my rest I was particularly spunky and yoguck-covered.  Plus, my fluff had awesome curls thanks to my humidifier.  It was a winning afternoon.  I was in such a great mood I decided to stay up way past my bedtime yelling out for mom and dad.  You're welcome, mom and dad.

Croup Revisited

Well, turns out I couldn't quite manage to avoid a field trip to the hospital last night.  I have croup again.  I'm not quite as sick as last time but I still needed a little medicine at 2:00 am.  Luckily I only had to stay a couple hours and then I got to go home.  On the way home I asked mom and dad for a quesadilla and a hot dog.  They gave me toast and yogurt.  Lame.  Anyway, my doctor was all, "You're so awesome and special Juj!" and I was all, "I know!"  Okay, actually he said something about not being average and apparently that's not a good thing when it comes to croup so I'm going to check with some special doctors so I can stop having emergency room visits.  Plus, mom and dad aren't huge friends of Peep-Bonaduce.  But don't worry, Peeps, I'm already feeling much better!

Cute

Do you ever have a day where you're feeling extra cute and adorable?

I mean, I know that I'm usually ridiculously good-looking and extremely charming.  But for some reason today I was off the charts.

That's probably a good thing - it helped mom and dad forget about how early I woke up (6:20 am) or how worthless my nap was (30 minutes).  (I tried to tell them it wasn't my fault.  I was all "Elmo wake up six hours."  I'm not sure they believed me.)

Turns out, my cute has a lot of powers.  Like when I say, "Hi mom, you all done napping mom?" mom is immediately ready to play.  And if I say, "Daddy, where are you?" daddy gets me out of my crib billions speedier than if I just chatter.

There's a lot of power in cute!

There's also a lot of power in sick.  I've been a very healthy toddler-peep so far.  One time I had a little belly-bug and one time I had croup.  That's it!  Well, looks like I'm lucky number three of sick.  I have a cough again.  Mom and dad gave me some medicine so hopefully I don't have to have an ambulance adventure again.

Sick isn't super fun but it makes mom and dad do anything I want!  You can't even believe how much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse I saw today (4 episodes) or how many books they read me (billions) or how much snorgling we did (hours).

Who knew a little cough meant I become Queen Toddler-Peep!?

Hopefully I feel better quickly, though another day or two of Mickey marathons wouldn't be the worst thing ever!

Chatters and Tables

Apparently I was really on fire today.  I'm a pretty chatty peep but mom was extra entertained by my chatters today, so much that she thought I better write them down so I don't forget.  Her favorites:

Dad was working in the office and I walked in and was all, "Oh dad, you doing some 'puter skills?"

*******

Dad:  (Burp)
Me:  "You in trouble dad."
Dad:  "What am I in trouble for?"
Me:  "Burp."

*******

(Over the monitor when I was supposed to be napping.  Napping is lame.)

"Okay bye mommy, daddy be home in a couple minutes six hours."

*******

Unrelated but equally as important.  My friends like to eat at the table.  I help Hanky-guy, Baby, Mickeymouseclubhouse, and Lion King all sit at the table in their assigned seats.  I feed them pizza, hot dogs and ice cream cones.  It's a pretty fun game.

Creeplets

The other day my friends Teaghan and Susie and Joe called me and were all, "Hey Juj, let's all get together and play games and toys and skills!" and I was all, "I'd love too!  And if you want I'll yammer on the entire time so no one else can get a word in!"

Since it was Valentine's Day we got to be festive and eat heart-shaped pizza.  It was delicious.  I even got to sit at the table like a big-peep.  And I only asked mom to clean my hands eleventy times while I was eating.  It's lame to have messy hands you know.

I got to work on my circle drawing skills with Joe.  He was very helpful when it came to cap removal for the markers.

I read some books with Susie and her mom too.  It was a little tricky because Susie's brother was taking up most of the lap space, but we tried not to judge him since he's still just a fetus-peep.

Later I decided to do some book-collection skills.

And of course, nothing ends a three hour playdate like a forced group picture with exhausted toddler-peeps.

Yes, this is the best we could do.  Okay, confession, my friends were billions more agreeable than me when it came to picture time.  It's just hard to sit when there are books to be read and cracker-bunnies to be munched.  It was a great time nonetheless and I can't wait to see my friends again soon!

Triplets

My twin friends came to visit me and guess what - they brought me a present!  Since we're such great friends they thought we should be pretend triplets too!

I think we're pretty adorable triplets!

Cupid-Peep

Happy Valentine's Day, Peeps!

I had an awesome day!  I got to play with my friends in the morning and eat heart shaped pizza!  There were chocolate brownies involved too.  Win.

The mailman brought me billions of valentines in the mail!  Thank you to Stacy, Nora, Sam, Hailey+Derek, Teaghan+Joe, and Great Grandma Sita for the best cards!

Later I got to paint with dad, work on my dancing skills and eat cookie and chocolate chippies!  Win!  It's important to have lots of treats on Valentine's Day.

I'm pretty sure everyday should be Valentine's Day.  I'm going to look into getting that arranged.

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day too!
