Day Eleven

Day Eleven and boy was I anxious to get to school!  It's a long wait over the weekend.

It was rainy this morning so I was all, "Mom, let's take pictures in my playroom!"

Sissy-dog wanted to be in a picture too, and since today is her birthday, I didn't mind sharing the spotlight.

Turns out, after school the rain stopped and we got to take a few outside pictures too!  I was all, "Mom, I'm going to make a bed for bunny and then lay down for the picture," and mom was all, "Your posing skills are starting to complicate our impromptu shoots."  She's such a buzz kill.

Thankfully I'm the artistic director of our photoshoots, so if I want to lay down, I can.

You didn't think I'd forget my signature cheese-face, did you?

Sissy-dog wanted a few more birthday pictures and I was happy to accommodate her request.

She is my very best friend and best girl and I love her so much, even if she measures her love for me in how much food I drop during a given meal.

Happy 6th Birthday, Sissy-dog!

Shadows

Yesterday was a beautiful, chilly fall day and I spent most of it playing outside.

The sun was bright so mom was all, "Peep, let's take shadow pictures!" and I was all, "Okay, as long as you reward me afterward with chocolate chip cookies!"  I love delicious bribes.

My bunny snuck into one picture (can you spy him?) but he didn't get a cookie reward.  His response: "Lame."

Concerned

I have pretty sensitive ears and I don't care for loud noises.  Especially tree grinders.  Especially when they're right outside my window and running during naptime.  Especially when their operators decide to pound on the door and make Sissy bark, also during naptime.

Day Ten

Today mom surprised me - we had a regular morning with milk and Mickey and cereal and etmo and reading books and getting dressed.  And then mom was all, "Guess what, Peep - your teacher just called and they want you to go to school today!"

And I was all, "HOORAY!  They aren't closed today!"  Even better - I got to stay for lunch.  Double win.

Since it's still chilly outside we played in the gym instead of the playground.  And we did apple art projects and sang apple songs and read apple books!

I was even helpful at lunchtime.  When I finished my food early I told my teacher I would "keep an eye on my friends" for my teacher.  I love bonus school days!

Day Nine

Day Nine!

And just to keep things exciting, I decided to go for poised and sophisticated for my morning picture.

But not to worry, Peeps...

... I haven't lost my toddler-peepliness!

It's a pretty blustery, chilly day today so I bundled up pretty quickly.

It's pretty hard to be a high-powered peep-fashion-model when it's chilly outside but I do my best.

I got a quick picture with dad...

... and then I was off to school!

Leaves

Today was a beautiful day so I spent some time working on leaf-skills.

You might not believe this (if, for example, you're familiar with my neuroses surrounding dirty hands, itchy grass, sandy sand, etc.) but I love jumping in leaves and laying in leaves and crawling in leaves!

Even Sissy-dog likes the leaves.  They seem to make her more agreeable about picture taking.  Or she just agrees with me - fall is mega fun!

Day Eight

Can you believe I already have eight days of school under my belt?  I'm practically ready for college!

Today I opted for braids, in part because they're awesome and in part because my fluff was particularly mullet-rific this morning.

I think Hanky-guy was a little jealous of my braids.

I thought it would be best to recreate my school picture this morning, complete with scrunched shoulders and crazy-face.  I'm sure the modeling agencies will be calling any minute.

After school I wanted to play in the leaves and take a few more pictures.  With my blue cloths.

And it's not a proper photo shoot without a few pictures with Sissy-dog.

Since Sissy was feeling just a tiny bit cooperative I was all, "Sis, do you want to take a silly picture with me?"

And Sissy was all, "I suppose, Peep.  I know, let's stick out our tongues!"

We're pretty awesome when we aren't being turkeys.
