Hammer

It's important to be prepared.

That's why I insist on traveling with a hammer.

Taste Test

I like to taste stuff...

... and I guess I know where I get it...

... turns out...

... my dad does too!

Laps

Okay Peeps, I wasn't totally honest earlier.
Yes, it was great having Bella over today.  But I may have had a tiny little bit of trouble playing nicely.

Things started out well.  I showed Bella all my toys and told her she could play anything she wanted.

I read her my book about binks.  It's really a fantastic read and I think she liked it too.

I showed her my ball popper.  I was all, "See Bella, you just push this button here..."

"... or you can just taste it like this."  She wasn't so sure about it.

I let Bella taste all of my blocks.  We didn't find any that were boobie-flavored but a few tasted sort of like puffs.

Yep, I even let her taste my bink.

See?  I did so many nice things.  But when Bella decided she needed to sit on my lap, I wasn't interested.

I tried to gently redirect her.

But a little bit later, she just plopped herself into my lap again.

So I had no choice but to take more drastic actions.  Mom was all, "we don't push friends."  And I was all, "She was invading my personal space."
Next time, I'll try and play nicer.

Modeling

My friend Bella called me last night and was all, "Hi Juj, my nanny has to go to the doctor tomorrow.  Can I come play with you for the day?"
And I was all, "Of course!  And bring your clothes that look like mine, we can practice our modeling skills!"

Mom was excited because she had a bunch of ideas for pictures.  Unfortunately, she didn't account for Bella's army crawling skills.  Mom tried really hard but she couldn't get very many pictures because Bella wasn't very excited about sitting still.  I guess my career will be in print work and Bella's will be runway.

We did cooperate for a few though.

Can you believe Bella is only three days older than me?  We're wearing the same size clothes but my sleeves have to be rolled and hers are almost too short!

I had fun modeling...

... but Bella said it was only fun if she could hold toys.

I hope Bella comes back to play modeling again soon.

Chica

I'm going to be honest, Peeps.  I love the TV.  I know, I know.  Babies shouldn't watch TV.  But I really don't watch that much and I promise mom spends most of the day chattering me, playing with me, reading to me, and singing to me.

But in the mornings before breakfast I get to watch the best channel ever.  I love Chica!  She's so funny.  As soon as my show comes on I wave to Chica!

Mom and dad tease me a little because I love to wave now.  I wave to Chica on TV, I wave to Big Hank when I wake up, and I wave to the puppy on my wall.  What can I say, I'm mega friendly.

Check-up

I had to go to the doctor last week for a check-up.  My doctor pretty much said I'm the greatest baby he's ever seen.  (Okay, he didn't exactly say that, but I could tell that's what he was thinking.)  I wanted to be sure he knew I was advanced in stranger anxiety, so I screamed my very loudest when he touched me.

The most exciting part was seeing how big I am.  I weighed 18 pounds, 13 ounces and was 26 inches.  I was all ready to throw myself a "Way to Grow" party when I heard mom saying things like, eighth percentile for height, short and fat, and circus midget.

Hmph.  Apparently she needs a reminder about how much I've grown in the last nine months.

Sledding

So far my experiences in the snow have been pretty lame.  You can imagine my excitement when mom told me yesterday that she had yet another great snow idea.

I put on some toasty cozy clothes hoping to avoid my ridiculous snorgle-suit.

When we got outside, the funniest looking chair was waiting for me.  Mom said it was a sled that use to belong to my cousins.

I wasn't so sure about this.  And yes, I still had to wear the snorgle-suit.

Mom pulled me around a bit.  Then she told me she wanted to take some pictures of my first sledding adventure.  She suggested I smile and look excited.  This is my excited face.

Sister Lab was a little suspicious of my sled.  First she tried to pounce me.  Then she just wanted to give me a quick snoot.

I really need to talk to mom about her idea of winter fun.
